Laws Of Physics, Anyone?
Winner of the Apple Design Award 2014 and iPad game of 2014, Monument Valley is an interesting take on storytelling with mesmerising visuals and some mind-boggling physics. The game was developed over ten months based on concept drawings by company artist Ken Wong. It tests your skills as you lead Princess Ida through mazes of optical illusions and impractical objects by interacting with the world around her to reach various platforms to advance through the levels. To control the Princess one has to simply tap on the spot where she should move. If there is an open path, she will start moving else she stays put. The levels can get tricky and the optical illusions don’t actually comply to the laws of physics. The game is available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices.
Connect The Dots
Sequel to the original game titled Dots, the new game — Two Dots — brings in some new and exciting features. The objective of the game remains the same, you connect similar coloured dots to eliminate them from the grid as new dots fall down.
Now how difficult is connecting dots you might ask, but it isn't as easy as you think. There are also some new obstacles like anchor dots, that can spoil your dot-connecting plans. Once you start playing and progress through the levels, it gets more complicated and the number of levels are said to go beyond 500.The game has a minimalistic look which gives it a nice appeal and it is definitely worth trying if you want to bend your mind. You can download the game on Android, iOS and Windows Phone as well.
In Love With Chemistry
You will definitely be hooked if you have a slight interest in chemistry or just love the idea of an engaging puzzle game on your smartphone. Atomas is a chemistry-based game although you don't need to be an expert at it. The objective of the game is to create valuable elements such as gold, platinum, silver, etc., and you get a single hydrogen atom to begin with. As you progress by adding, subtracting and moving atoms, you start creating larger elements. For example, when you combine two Lithium atoms you get one Beryllium. The goal is to get the element with the highest atomic number you can before the playing board gets full. If you fill up your deck, then its game over so you need to be clever and shuffle with the elements. Atomas is available for Android and iOS devices.
