Through the Apple WWDC 2022 keynote, everyone got a preview into the all new macOS Ventura. The latest operating system from Apple promises to deliver the best Mac experience for its users.
The macOS is being touted to deliver a user experience that will make life easier. “macOS Ventura includes powerful features and new innovations that help make the Mac experience even better. New tools like Stage Manager make focusing on tasks and moving between apps and windows easier and faster than ever, and Continuity Camera brings new videoconferencing features to any Mac, including Desk View, Studio Light, and more,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering.
Focusing On Tasks Made Easier
To begin with the software is introducing “Stage Manager”, a tool to help users organise their apps and windows. It will allow the multi-tasking user to focus on their work while still being able to see everything at glance – located to the left-hand side of the screen. The current window that the user is busy with will be placed prominently in the centre in this scenario.
The Stage Manger also works in tandem with the macOS windowing tools like Spaces and Mission Control, which gives users the ease of access to their desktop with a simple, single click.
Emphasis On Continuity
Now, Mac users can use their iPhone as a webcam for the first time ever. With a special emphasis on continuity, Mac can automatically recognise and use the iPhone camera when close by. A user won’t even have to wake or select the function for it to happen. But for this feature requires mac and an iPhone to be connected via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, where both devices are signed-in to the same Apple ID with Two-factor authentication.
Continuity Camera delivers innovative features to all Mac computers including Center Stage, Portrait mode, and the new Studio Light — an effect that beautifully illuminates a user’s face while dimming the background. Plus, Continuity Camera taps into the Ultra Wide camera on iPhone to enable Desk View, which simultaneously shows the user’s face and an overhead view of their desk — great for creating DIY videos, showing off sketches over FaceTime, and so much more.
Browse With Friends On Safari
In macOS Ventura, users can browse together as friends, family and colleagues. Users can now share the websites they are on and see what tabs others at looking at on Safari – live. They can even build a list of bookmarks on a shared Start Page. Additionally, Safari will also let users start Messages conversations and FaceTime right from the browser.
The macOS Ventura will be available to all Mac users later this year.
