Allcargo Gati, one of India’s premier Express Distribution and Supply Chain Management companies, has released its unaudited financial results for the quarter ending 30th September 2024, highlighting improved operational performance and enhanced Ebitda margins driven by strategic cost optimisation.
In Q2FY25, Allcargo Gati’s express business, housed under Gati Express and Supply Chain (GESCPL), reported a gross margin increase of 10 per cent year-over-year, with gross margin reaching Rs 99 crore. Ebitda for the express business rose by 26 per cent from the same period last year, driven by ongoing cost initiatives. H1FY25 Ebitda for the company stood at Rs 39 crore, up 18 per cent from H1FY24, reflecting operational efficiency.
Revenue for Q2FY25 reached Rs 374 crore, a slight decrease of 3 per cent year-over-year, but a 4 per cent increase quarter-over-quarter. Ebitda for Q2FY25 stood at Rs 19 crore, up 20 per cent year-over-year.
Pirojshaw (Phil) Sarkari, Managing Director and CEO of GESCPL, highlighted the impact of cost optimization and infrastructure investment, noting, "Our results underscore the success of strategic cost initiatives, boosting operational efficiency. With Phase II infrastructure development underway and new tech modules being deployed, we are positioned for enhanced operational visibility, efficiency, and innovation."
Deputy Managing Director, Ketan Kulkarni, added that October 2024 marked a milestone, recording the highest-ever monthly volume at 118,000 tonnes, up from 108,000 tonnes in September 2024. “This achievement reflects our team’s dedication and customer trust. We’re committed to seamless, reliable logistics across surface and air express services, aiming to maintain this momentum,” he said.
Allcargo Gati is advancing its sustainability goals, rolling out 1,700 rebranded vehicles, including Alternative Fuel Vehicles (AFVs), for eco-friendly deliveries. This initiative aligns with Allcargo Group’s carbon neutrality goals for 2040, reinforcing their commitment to sustainability.
With a vast network spanning over 5,400 direct delivery pin codes and access to 19,800 pin codes across 735 districts, Allcargo Gati is enhancing its reach, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
