All New Second Generation Audi RS 5 Coupé Launched In India For Rs 1,10,65,000
German luxury car manufacturer Audi has launched the all new second generation Audi RS 5 Coupé in India for Rs 1,10,65,000. New Audi RS 5 Coupé is the first model to feature the current RS design philosophy from Audi Sport.
The sedan is mated with the all-new 2.9 TFSI bi-turbo engine which produces 331kW (450hp) and delivers 600Nm (170 Nm more compared with the predecessor model) of torque. It sprints from 0 - 100km/hr in 3.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 250km/hr.
The second generation Audi RS 5 Coupé has eight-speed tiptronic power transmission. The standard quattro drive distributes the power to all four wheels.
For driver assistance and safety systems, the sedan features park assist (rear view camera with parking system plus), six airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic differential lock, traction control system, electronic stability control with torque vectoring.
From infotainment perspective, the new Audi RS 5 Coupé has new MMI control concept with intuitive free-text search and natural language voice control, Audi virtual cockpit with special RS screen, Audi smartphone interface for connecting Apple and Android smartphones, and Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound, 19 loudspeakers and 755 watts of power.
Speaking at the launch, Rahil Ansari, Head Audi India, said “2018 is the Year of Audi Progression and in line with this, we are renewing our performance car portfolio in India and have lined up more surprises in store for our performance car enthusiasts in the coming days.”
For design and styling, the new sedan is inspired by the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. It sports additional air inlets/outlets at the front and rear, single frame grille, matrix LED headlights as standard with dynamic rear indicators, as well as three-dimensional LED rear lights, and panoramic sunroof.
From inside, the car has three spoke design flat bottom steering wheel with multifunction plus, electrically adjustable front seats including memory function for the driver’s seat with pneumatic lumbar support and massage function, 3 zone air conditioning, and ambient lighting.
Audi India is offering a range of exterior colour options for the second generation Audi RS 5 Coupé. It includes Nardo Gray, Floret Silver Metallic, Glacier White Metallic, Mythos Black Metallic, Navarra Blue Metallic, Sonoma Green Metallic, Daytona Gray Pearlescent, and Misano Red Pearlescent.
