All New 2018 Suzuki Ertiga Unveiled In Indonesia; India Launch Might Follow Soon
Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the all-new 2018 Suzuki Ertiga MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) in Indonesia on 20 April. While introducing the all new Ertiga to Indonesian market, the company said that the same model will be launched in India also and is planned for export from both countries.
All-new Ertiga features an exterior design with a luxurious front grille and dynamic shoulder line. On the inside, the updated all-new Ertiga interior features a finely carved dashboard and a large wooden accent.
The latest generation HEARTECT platform and a 130 mm longer body create a spacious cabin environment with larger luggage space. It also features an all-new 1.5L petrol engine.
The production and sales of the first generation Ertiga began in Indonesia and India in 2012. As of February 2018, 676,000 units have been sold, both domestically in Indonesia and India as well as exporting to over 70 countries and regions.

It is also equipped with a ventilated cup holder to keep drinks cool. | All-New Ertiga Exterior Design Features At the front, the grille has been made smooth with a combination of black and chrome accents, the lower grille and the fog lamp have been integrated for higher and wider muzzle, and the roof is higher in the middle for a sufficient headroom on the inside, but lower on the side for more side view. At the side of the all new Ertiga, Suzuki has added a dynamic and flowing shoulder line, a short vertical window, and a lower roof on the back for more view. |
The back of the new model now has larger combination LED back lights integrated with rear garnish for more viewing, and dynamic rear bumper line.
Apart from the existing five exterior colours (Snow White Pearl, Radiant Red Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Burgundy Red Pearl, and Cool Black Pearl Metallic), all new 2018 Suzuki Ertiga will now also be available in two new body paint options – Magma Gray Metallic, and Glorious Brown Pearl Metallic.
All-New Ertiga Interior Design Features
It now sports large wooden patterns wrapping the interior panel, steering wheel, and door trim, practical touch panel audio system with connection, and speedometer and backlit tachometer.
The all-new Ertiga body is 130mm longer than it is its predecessor. It is also equipped with a ventilated cup holder to keep drinks cool.
The MPV has a luggage space of 199 litres when the trunk board is lowered, and even by 153 litres when the luggage board is used, which means 40 litres more than its predecessor.
For convenience, the driver's seat can be raised up to 60mm, and the seats in the second row can be pulled as far as 240mm forward.
All-New Ertiga Safety And Security Features
The all new Suzuki Ertiga offers enhanced safety with features like backward parking sensor, immobilizer, security alarm, dual SRS airbags, total effective control technology, child seat hook (ISOFIX), Hill hold control, electronic stability control, and anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution.
