Airtel Business, Bharti Airtel's B2B arm, has formed a strategic relationship with Sparkle, an international service provider in Italy, to improve connectivity between Asia and Europe. This transaction, which comprises the acquisition of additional capacity on the Blue-Raman Submarine Cable Systems, is a crucial step in Airtel's efforts to improve its global network and meet rising data service demand in India and neighbouring regions.
The newly formed relationship between Airtel Business and Sparkle will see Airtel secure additional capacity on the Blue-Raman Submarine Cable Systems, a critical infrastructure that connects India to Italy. This move aims to diversify Airtel's worldwide network and extend its reach across different international undersea cable systems. The enhanced capacity is expected to meet the growing data needs of consumers in India and nearby territories, providing them with more dependable and efficient connectivity.
The collaboration also paves the way for both companies to explore new business opportunities and joint projects within the Indian sub-continent. By leveraging their combined cable infrastructures, Airtel and Sparkle are set to enhance their service offerings and drive digital growth in the region.
