"The MPs will also seek the cooperation of parties which have faith in the sovereignty of the nation and concern for national security, to seek the dismissal of the Karunanidhi ministry on this count," she said in an interview to Tamil satellite channel Jaya TV last night.
She charged the UPA government with lacking the political will to dismiss the DMK government for supporting the LTTE. "The DMK government was going soft on the LTTE. Though the government claimed that action had been taken against supporters of the proscribed outfit, the reality was otherwise," she said.
The LTTE supporters, who were arrested, were let off on bail the same day, she alleged. "The AIADMK was opposed to the LTTE, as the organisation had links with several other militant outfits like ULFA, PWG and Maoists, who did subscribe to the unity and integrity of the country," Jayalalithaa said.
"The LTTE is not the sole representative of Sri Lankan Tamils," she said, and alleged that it was responsible for the murder of thousands of Tamils in that country
