Tilaknagar Industries Limited (TI), the Alcoholic beverages maker, has recently appointed Ahmed Rahimtoola as its chief marketing officer (CMO). He would be leading consumer marketing to strengthen the firm’s regional presence, help in expansion and increase the growth of its brands, across India.
Rahimtoola comes with over 25 years of relevant work experience and has been assigned the responsibility of leading the entire marketing function. TI is popular for being the manufacturer of India’s largest-selling brandy, Mansion House.
In a public statement, Amit Dahanukar, Chairman and managing director, TI said, “As a leading player in the brandy category, TI is committed to introducing and offering innovative consumer products in order to bring the segment into the limelight. We are confident that Ahmed’s extensive industry experience and expertise will help us achieve this ambition.”
The firm was founded in 1933 as Maharashtra Sugar Mills, which later went on to become one of India's ten largest distillers having a diverse portfolio of brands in categories including brandy, whisky, vodka, gin, and rum. TI has also emerged as India’s biggest premium brandy maker.
This move comes in at an opportune time since the firm is engaged in the process of re-invigorating and enriching its brandy portfolio. The company recently launched India’s first premium flavoured brandy under its flagship brand, Mansion House and aims to expand its basket of premium brandy offerings across markets.
