That is what this joint EMBA degree programme from IIT Bombay aims to achieve. Joining hands with Washington University in St. Louis, the brightest brains from these two universities have collaborated to come up with an Executive MBA programme that will develop the next generation of leaders and prepare them to compete with the world's top business executives. The programme consists of classroom sessions in Mumbai, followed by intensive coaching, classroom and industry visit programmes in the US. The course makes no bones about being a cutting-edge leadership teaching with a laser-like emphasis on hand-picked themes.
The curriculum consists of Start-up Consulting, Strategic Management, Data Modeling and Decisions, Organisational Behaviour and Design, Communication and Negotiation Skills, Financial Accounting, Marketing Management, Corporate Finance, Operations & Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain, Competitive Strategy & Industry Analysis, Growth, Valuation, and Sustainability, Strategic Cost Analysis, Advance Marketing and Macroeconomics.
This residency programme lasts for 18 months and is easily broken up into four days every month, running from Thursday morning to Sunday evening. The participants spend two weeks in Washington D.C. and St. Louis doing the 3 modules, after finishing 17 months in Mumbai. Successful participants get a Joint (Executive) Master of Business Administration Degree from IIT Bombay and Washington University in St. Louis. They join the elite alumni community of Washington University and IIT Bombay post their graduation. They can network with the brightest minds from across the globe.
This course is perfect for an aspiring CEO, CIO, CXO, President, Director, VP, AVP, Business Head or Entrepreneur. All you would need is a graduate degree with a strong academic record, proficiency in written and spoken English, a strong desire to succeed, the capacity to adapt to new situations and acquire and apply new information and 7+ years of professional experience, with five years in a managerial role.
