1) Early Life: Born in Madhya Pradesh, Sikka graduated from Rosary High School and joined Maharaja Sayajirao university as a student of computer engineering. He later discontinued and went on to pursue B.S. in computer science from Syracuse university, New York. Sikka completed his Ph.D. in 1996 from Stanford University.
2) Career: Sikka founded iBrain after a small stint at Xerox. His second startup Bodha.com was later acquired by Peregrine systems, a company Sikka also joined as Vice President. In 2002, Sikka joined SAP and went on to become company's first CTO in 2007. In 2014, Sikka became the CEO of Infosys.
3) Developed HANA: Sikka developed HANA, SAP's in-memory, column-oriented, relational database management system.
4) Ran A Blog: Sikka also ran a blog called Timelessness which was last refreshed in 2016.
5) Sikka also holds an American Citizenship
