Xiaomi Redmi 4 Goes On Sale In India From May 23

Xiaomi Redmi 4 is going to be available in three variants - 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage for Rs 6,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively.

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has launched its smartphone Redmi 4 in India on Tuesday (May 23). 


Xiaomi Redmi 4 is going to be available in three variants - 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage for Rs 6,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 10,999, respectively.

The smartphone will be available for buyers from May 23, 12 pm onwards, exclusively on Amazon.in and Mi store. However 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant will be available for buyers from June 2017.

Previously Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was launched in India with different RAM and storage capacity variants.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 runs on MIUI 8 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. All variants of the smartphone are powered by Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM. The smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280x720) 2.5D curved glass display.

It sports a 5-megapixel selfie-camera with f/2.2 aperture; on the rear is a 13-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and LED Flash. Redmi 4 comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Redmi 4 comes in Gold and Black color options. The storage capacities of the phone can be expanded up to 128GB through a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

The handset has a hybrid SIM slot (micro+nano) and supports VoLTE. The handset is powered by a 4100mAh battery.

The smartphone is a sibling of recently launched Redmi Note 4 which has larger screen and a better processor than the Redmi 4.
