Samsung Galaxy A9 Star And Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite Open For Pre-Booking Today: Prices And Specifications
After many speculations, Samsung has finally opened the pre-orders of Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite smartphones in the markets of China

After many speculations, Samsung has finally opened the pre-orders of Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite smartphones in the markets of China. The company has formally launched both the handsets today and pre-orders will be taken till June 14. Both the smartphones will be available for the sale on June 15.
Coming on price, Samsung Galaxy A9 star is available in China at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 31,600). This latest smartphone is only designed in Black and White colour. Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite’s price has been set at CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 21,100) and comes both in Blue and Black colours. Both the handsets will be available for pre-orders in Samsung online stores till June 14 and will enter the market for sale from June 15. Availability of both the smartphones in India is yet to be clarified.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star specification:
Samsung Galaxy A9 star operates on Android 8.0 Oreo and carries hybrid dual-SIM facility. The handset is packed with Qualcomm‘s mighty range chip, the snapdragon 660 which is coupled with octa-core snapdragon 660 SoC, and 4GB RAM. The inbuilt storage is at 64 GB which is further expandable up to 256 GB through a micro SD card.
The new sleek designed phone comes with fully metaled frame, visible chin both at the top and bottom of the display and carries fingerprint sensor at the back. The power button has been embedded on the right edge whereas the volume adjuster at the left edge.
Talking about the display, Samsung has featured 6.3-inch super AMOLED infinity display with 1080 x 2220 Full HD+ resolutions and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
Galaxy A9 Star sports with dual rear camera setup that has 16 megapixels and 24 megapixels as a primary sensor and a secondary sensor respectively. Both the sensors support LED flash with f/1, 7aperture. The front facing 24 megapixels camera sports f/2.0 aperture along with AI beauty feature. In terms of videography, the handset is processed with 4K video recording feature at 30fps.
As far as connectivity is concerned, Galaxy A9 Star includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, NFC, 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type-C port.
The dual-SIM handset is backed with 3700mAh Battery. The smartphones weigh to be around 191 grams and measures at 162.4x77x7.5mm.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite specification:
Just like Samsung Galaxy A9 Star, Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite also shows chin both at the top and bottom of the display and has a volume adjuster embedded at the left edge and power button at the right edge. It sports vertical dual camera set up with fingerprint sensor just beneath it.
In terms of display, Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite is slightly different from Galaxy A9 star. The smartphones carry a smaller display of 6-inch full-HD+ (1080x2220 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It is packed with 1.8 GHz snapdragon 450 octa-cores SoC coupled along with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM.
Even though both dual rear camera smartphones shares same primary sensor of 16 megapixels but Galaxy A9 Star Lite has gone down to 5 megapixels in terms of its secondary camera sensor. Both the primary and secondary camera sensors support f/1.7 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively. It has 24-megapixel front selfie snapper with f/1.9 aperture. Moreover, it does not support 4K video capture.
Just like Samsung Galaxy A9 Star, Galaxy A9 Star Lite also supports hybrid dual-SIM feature along with storage of 64 GB which can be expandable up to 256 GB.
Talking about connectivity features, Samsung Galaxy A9 Star Lite includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, NFC, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, ANT+, and 4G VoLTE.
Since the second handset focuses on the term ‘Lite’, the main change shifts to the battery life. It only carries the capacity at 3500 mAh.
