Gujarat and the Netherlands signed MoU with an aim to adopt 4R concept – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover of Resources
The Netherlands has signed a strategic-partnership MoU between Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Government of Gujarat with an aim to adoption of 4R concept – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover of Resources, Technology Transfer, Capacity Building of the Stakeholders and Sharing of Best Environment Management Practices in the state of Gujarat. This MoU was signed and exchanged between Ambassador of The Netherlands, Alphonsus Stoelinga and the Additional Chief Secretary, Forest & Environment.
Taishan Fiberglass Inc, the 2nd largest fiberglass producer in China and the 3rd largest in the world shared its intentions to set up state-of-the-art manufacturing plant of fiberglass in Gujarat, which will be their first overseas plant with an estimated investment of about Rs 1,700 crore (approximately). Zhiyao Tang, Taishan Group, informed the Chief Minister that they would be signing a MoU for the same during the summit.
A meeting was held between US Council General, delegates of USIBC & Japanese Ambassador discussed the potential for collaboration in the mentioned areas:
For this purpose a working group shall be formed between Gujarat Government and US government/ USIBC.
