The penetration of internet and social media has not just given the world new stars and celebs but has also changed the definition of fandom and stardom
With each coming year and time flowing by, a new trend begins as some old fades away. A lot of these trends have been changing in the entertainment world recently. With the advent of digital, the interaction between the audience and stars has been two ways where the fans contribute as much as an actor and no one is really interested in getting an autograph but maybe interacting with the stars casually. One of the major reasons for this change is the new age of actors who have maintained such an equation with the fans.
Varun Dhawan jumped into the pool while on holidays beating the heat, Jitendra Kumar of TVF Pitchers was seeing having coconut water with Nidhi Bisht in Goa on New Year's, Alia was cycling in Maldives with her sister Shaheen and Sumeet Vyas, Naveen Kasturia and Amol Parasher were doing Tripling on a hill. These were some of the things that we as fans get to see every day of these new age Stars.
About a decade ago, no one would have imagined to get such a sneak peek into the lives of the stars. The penetration of internet and social media has not just given the world new stars and celebs but has also changed the definition of fandom and stardom. Today the stars are more accessible and more rooted.
These days a Brand wants a Nidhi Singh to not just to star in their Ad film but also post about it to her Instagram fans, they want a Bhuvan Bam to sing for them and we see Arjun Kapoora and Deepika Paukone doing a Facebook live.
One thing that I can foresee for 2017 is the growing popularity of digital faces. There is a new array of stars who are defining the acting world. Be it Kanan Gill, Sushant Singh Rajput, Kirti Sanon or Maanvi Gagroo everyone loves an easy going person with whom they can relate to.
While there will be a new guard of stars and celebrities coming to town who will earn their fame on web, TV, cinema or stand-up comedy and will change the face of stardom forever but there will always be an Aamir khan or a Shah Rukh Khan who will be applauding them and giving them their first set of awards because a few Khans don't change and just keep on getting better with each coming year.
