Construction Industry Fair Bauma Conexpo India Starts

On display are construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles

The four-day construction industry fair Bauma Conexpo India 2016 began in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

On display at the Huda Grounds, near New Delhi, are construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines and construction vehicles.

"With infrastructure investment set to go up, demand for construction equipment will rise further and the Indian construction equipment revenues are expected to breach the $23 billion (Rs 1.5 lakh crores) mark," said Avinash M. Patil, president of the Builders Association of India.

Present at the inaugural function were Santosh Yadav, deputy speaker of Haryana assembly, Girish Shankar, secretary of the Department of Heavy Industry, Dr Silva – Garbade, deputy minister of economic section from the Germany embassy in India, Patrick Santillo, minister counselor of the US embassy in India, Anand Sundaresan, president of the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association, and Igor Palka, chief executive officer of bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd.

"We are very pleased with the response that we have received on the first day of Bauma Conexpo India 2016. This year we are expecting over 30,000 visitors, coming to the trade fair. With the construction equipment industry slowly making advancements, Bauma Conexpo India will take innumerable initiatives and work towards making India a market driver in the construction equipment industry," said Igor Palka, chief executive officer of bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd.

Around 650 exhibitors are showcase their products and technologies at the event.

They include ACE, Ajax Fiori, Ammann Apollo, ASTEC, BAUER, BKT, Case, Caterpillar, Columbia Machines, Haulotte, Herrenknecht, JCB, Kobelco, KYB Conmat, Liebherr, Linnhoff, Liugong, Macons, MAN, Marini, Masa, Potain, Putzmeister, Puzzolana, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Soilmec, Topwerk, Wacker Neuson, Volvo, Wirtgen and XCMG among others.
