All About Android P Beta 2’s (Developer Preview 3) New Features And Download Process

Just after a month, Google announced the release of its first Beta version of Android P at I/O, Google again announced its Android P beta (aka Android P Developer Preview 2) at I/O 2018. The new version was only available to the users who have already enrolled for Android Beta programme. The one who has already downloaded Beta 1 programme will get their upgradation automatically.
Android P Developer Preview 3 (Beta 2) is now out in the market for Google Pixel devices, as well as devices from manufacturers that have included Project Treble. All these devices include the Essential PH-1, Nokia 7 Plus, OnePlus 6, Oppo R15 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ2, Vivo X21, Vivo X21 UD, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S. In order to get access to this new version, the users have to enrol them in Android Beta program, after which they will receive the build via OTA in roughly 24 hours. If they have already enrolled in Android P Beta 1 on the Pixel device, then upgradation of the Beta 2 will be done automatically.
Android P Beta 2 incorporates the final APIs (API level 28) along with the official SDK which has been tagged along with new features including a new time and date display design in the notification panel, a new weather notification on the Always-On Display, a new Colours menu that enables an image to be viewed in different colour modes, revamped emoji design as well as addition of new emoji, quick reply for bundled notifications, and the Downloads app being renamed back to Files app.
A multi-camera API system has been provided which will help to access streams of two or more cameras at the same time. Moreover, Google also made sure about adding new Security API that adds Face and Iris authentication as well coupled with fingerprint authentication.
ML Kit brings Messaging Style notifications that provide you to view thumbnail-like notification along with more actions, like smart reply and even lets you attach photos and stickers. Layout and UI have been improved to DND, Night Light, and Security has also been introduced.
