The marketplace is captivated by innovation, leaning heavily on the promise of disruption to deliver new, inspiring products and services.

Praveen Rawal, Managing Director, Steelcase India and Asia Pacific said, “Steelcase has been studying intrapreneurs and the conditions they need to thrive and have derived certain results. Intrapreneurs have a healthy disregard for conventional ways of working and thinking. They work together to solve complex problems and positively transform the industry. 83 percent of the intrapreneurs say being able to problem solve are very important to their success at work, while 72 percent believe their ideal workplace includes exploring innovative solutions.”

Intrapreneurs use storytelling to encourage broad buy-in and maintain forward movement.71 percent of them strongly agree that being held accountable specifically helps them to innovate. Nearly 84 percent agree that learning is part of their personal work style and important to their success.

Also, 66 percent say autonomy in creating teams and choosing projects is important or very important.

Innovation-driven dreams are highly collaborative an agile, depending heavily on design thinking and divergent viewpoints to grow ideas. 73 percent report that adaptability impacts their success a lot, while 61 percent value agility in business structures and physical environments.”

He added, "Intrapreneurs thrive in a culture of trust and empowerment. Leaders at all levels, both within the innovative group and in their greater organization, have the power to push boundaries when their work begins with trust. 96 percent of respondents agree that leadership drives change."
